Pre-Great Taste 2012 - Let the Parties Begin

So, it's what? July 14th? You will be happy to know that your favorite bars and restaurants are already making plans for you to have entirely too much fun on August 12, 2011 - the night before the day when a ton people who are capable of waking up earlier than you and have the patience to stand in a line at 6am will be drinking at one of the awesomest beer festivals in the known universe.

So who gets the privilege of "first"?

It goes to the fine folks over at The Beer Spot who have again booked The Brickhouse - perhaps one of the most underrated beer bars in all of Madison. It is not yet known which brewery will be on tap (last year they had Central Waters), so keep an eye out for that.

In the meantime, rest assured that you will have at least one pre-party to go to.

  1. Hey this is Spartan boy, I'm recently transplanted from Michigan, big Bell's and Founders fan. I can't say enough about how great they are. It's so awesome that they are sold around here. This Great Taste sounds like a great way to get into the local beer culture. Is there anyway to get some tickets for sale or trade?

Sand Creek and Potosi will be at Drackenbergs for a pre-taste party.

  3. Anon, keep an eye on Craigslist and keep an eye out for the Pre-Parties - Bell's and Founders ALWAYS have some awesome parties.

  4. if brickhouse can prove they pay their taxes, i may check that place out. but i dont shop a reilys because of it.

Bells will be at Maduro again, i assume New Holland at the Tipsy Cow. Three Floyds? Two Brothers? Dark Horse?

    It could get interesting.

  5. Last year Summit was at Coopers...maybe they'll return again this year?

  6. 2012???

You've already got info on next year's pre-parties?
