So, here you go - 36 hours in Chicago. Jonathan offers up not just the Chicago classics (Hopleaf, Map Room, Piece) but also the locals-only options:
Next is a short walk up Sheffield to Local Option. Local Option isn’t well known outside of the Chicago beer scene, but it usually has one of the best taplists in town. The taplist doesn’t focus just on regional or American beer, it’s a strong reflection on what is happening in beer today. And if you can’t find anything on tap that excites you, ask the bartender if they have anything special in bottles!Man, I need to hit the Local Option, I'm in that area frequently...
So, thanks Noah and Jonathan!
Just a heads up: Noah didn't actually write that. He works for DRAFT, but he doesn't have anything to do with Beer Mapping.
ReplyDeleteI wrote the Beer Mapping post. I own and run Beer Mapping and I also work for DRAFT, so that is why Noah said "we did it for Chicago too".
Sorry about the confusion and thanks for the inspiration with your posts!
